One of the most exciting announcements is the plans for Ford to release a hybrid version of the F-150, America’s most popular truck. Ford product chief Raj Nair stated two years back that the company was developing on a hybrid F-150, but it wasn’t until recently that Ford CEO Mark Fields has confirmed that the revolutionary truck will be in showrooms by 2020.
2020 may be the estimated time of arrival for the hybrid F-150, the 2018 F-150 will be the new face of tough. The bold new look is accented with a muscular new grille layout and a brand new embossed tailgate. Auto Start-Stop is now standard across the entire F-150 line-up, helping reduce the consumption of fuel and emissions when driving through the city. There will also be a brand new standard 3.3L Ti-VCT V6 engine, which is pair with a 10-speed transmission to improve acceleration and overall performance. The 2018 F-150 will offer a plethora of ways to stand out, including the unique Sport Appearance Package, bold Special Edition Package, the classy Chrome Appearance Package, and the one-of-a-kind STX Appearance Package.
That’s just the beginning of what the Ford Motor Company has planned for the near future. Ford has stated that they plan on release five new utility vehicles by the year 2020. Ford knows how much the workforce loves us and we want to do everything we can to show that love back. This is one reason why we plan on reviving Ford Ranger. It is set to hit North American dealerships in 2019, production will being in our Michigan plant in late 2018. Due to the passionate fanbase and sales of older models being absolutely through the roof, the Ford Motor Company has decided to resurrect the Ford Bronco, which should be available for purchase around 2020.
