The Jeep is Going Electric

We are so excited about all of the innovations that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV are bringing to Jeep factories. This incredible investment was to move towards the goal of producing new hybrid and fully-electric Jeep vehicles. The electrification of the Jeep brand is sure to change the game when it comes to SUV models, and your local Jeep dealership can’t wait to be part of this revolution. At the recent Geneva Auto Show, Jeep debuted two brand new plug-in hybrid versions of both the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Renegade. These are two of the most affordable Jeep models in the line-up, so it is great to see that Jeep is making conservation and environmentally-friendly vehicles an affordable goal for customers. These models are rumored to be available in early 2020, and your local Jeep dealership can’t wait for them to hit production lines.

These vehicles are expected to generate between 190 horsepower and 240 horsepower, sending power to your back wheels in order to get you going. When using strictly the battery, these models will be able to drive about 31 miles per charge. A plug-in hybrid version of the ever-popular Jeep Wrangler is predicted to debut sometime in mid-2020, a little later than the Renegade and the Compass. We can’t wait to see the PHEV hybrid option of this vehicle and the way it will boost both efficiency and drivability. Jeep’s entire lineup will eventually be electrified, bringing customers more options when it comes to affordable hybrid family vehicles. At Millsboro Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we are excited for these hybrid and electric models to debut, and we can’t wait for our customers to test drive the vehicle that grabs their attention the most.
